Israeli violence in the West Bank was unprecedented in October
The assaults, often carried out under the protection of the military, have forced over 3,200 Palestinians to leave their homes, causing dozens of deaths.
According to the United Nations, October was the most violent month in the West Bank in the last 20 years, with 264 attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians resulting in deaths, injuries, and destruction.
The UN has reported an “unprecedented increase” in violence, with nearly 7,000 attacks recorded since 2006, a quarter of which occurred in 2025 alone. The assaults, often carried out under the protection of the military, have forced over 3,200 Palestinians to leave their homes, causing dozens of deaths, hundreds of injuries and the systematic destruction of homes, vehicles and olive groves. Among this year's victims are 42 minors.
The UN also reports more than 350 incidents of vandalism and theft, and the poisoning or felling of 1,200 olive trees.
At dawn on Saturday, the Israeli army launched a new wave of arrests in various locations across the West Bank. At least five people were taken, including a woman in Sanur, south of Jenin, who was held for hours to pressure her wanted son to turn himself in. The military raided dozens of homes, forced entire families to leave and turned the homes into temporary military posts, confiscating all security camera recordings.
On Saturday evening, a Palestinian was wounded by soldiers in the town of al-Ram, north of Jerusalem. At almost the same time, armed settlers, protected by the army, attacked the village of Raba, southeast of Jenin, targeting homes and agricultural land.
In Silat al-Harithiya, in the Jenin district, soldiers stormed the area of the local school. According to residents' testimonies, the military chased and beat the children who were playing outside the school building.
